Eyo.... 240 guy from the Chii

Whats up everyone? Stumbled upon this forum from a Sams signature.

I see theres some southside / Indiana people on here.

Im from Chicago, I live near Ohare. Been building cars for a while now, just opened a small shop in Addison IL. Got a small stable / list of cars I own and owned in the past.


1995 240SX SE - 5 spd - first car, first 240sx, still running strong. Was KA-T now its in surgery for a heart transplant.


1990 Eclipse GST - bought and sold in the same day


1997 S500 - German boat, shipped back to the motherland - a pic of it at great lakes - 16.1 @ 90 mph with booze and tools in the trunk

Welcome nice collection you have and good luck on the shop. On DSMTalk there is a guy who did a 4G63 swap on a mighty pretty crazy to have in one of those trucks. BTW do you have anything for a N/T 4G63

The non turbo 4G63s don't have a large aftermarket basis, however there are a few guys running the non turbo engines with OEM turbo setups and have had pretty good luck. Essentially they get stock or near stock parts off the turbo engines and run with that. It wont be able to push as much power as a turbo 4G, but it will get you a whole lot more power then any bolt on mod.

But because the blocks don't have oil squirters and because they don't have knock sensors its easy to blow them up. Hence why honestly the best recommendation is to get a 4G63 Turbo car or at least an engine / trans and swap them in. Thats if you plan on getting a lot of power and keeping the car for a while.

yea I know what you I dont want to go all out with a turbo and everything. Only thing I'm really looking at is maybe put a cam on it I heard about putting turbo cams I forgot which one is different and one is the same, but for now since its my daily I'm not looking for a big amount of power
